Summer Hair Care Round-Up
Are the beach trips and logging all that pool time doing a number on your hair too? All the top knots and lake hair can really do some damage. I recently went to get my hair cut and I had so many split ends and dried hair that I’m personally trying to air dry and not use too many hot tools if I don’t have to. Summer is the perfect time to go au naturale or just try a beachy wave too! I rounded up my must-have summer hair care products for you below.
Summer is the best excuse for not doing your hair, right? Go natural and let your hair air dry. Mist this onto damp hair to add texture and volume that will make you look like you meant to look like you just came from the beach.
Hair sunscreen?! Your part is one of the most-neglected parts of your body when it comes to sun protection! Dust this on your part and avoid the itchiness and flakiness that comes from a sunburned scalp!
This mask is packed with vitamins and minerals like jojoba seed oil and sea buckthorn to bring shine and moisture to dull, dry hair. Translation: you need this mask to heal your wind-blown, dried out summer hair! I personally am ordering it now because my hair is just so dry this summer!
There’s nothing like the humidity of summer to make you feel like Monica in that one episode of Friends. Here’s the thing, creams and sprays can only do so much. You have to start with a good base and this shampoo is it. I used to love the Aussie Anti-Humidity spray but it’s been so long since I’ve needed it after living in the dry desert for so long!
You’ve got too much going on this summer to worry about what your hair looks like. I love adding a colorful headband to air-dried hair for a really easy, polished look.
Chasing your kids around the park? Running to the grocery store? Throw your hair in a pony and add a pony scarf. You won’t believe how fancy you feel with the most minimal effort ever! I also love adding these hair accessories to a messy bun too, and it reminds me of a throw back, vintage look!
When all else fails, just throw on a hat, and call it a day! You know how much I love my hats, and summertime is the perfect time to show off any style from a wide brim straw hat to a casual baseball cap. Either way, you’re shading your beautiful face and keeping the sun and harmful rays away from your skin. It’s a bonus that you can cover up or hide Day 3 hair!
